Gorsley & Kilcot Parish Council's Clerk Mrs Margaret Highton has announced her retirement from 31st March 2019 after 17 years.
Therefore there will be a Vacancy for Parish Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer
Job Description: The Clerk will be the Council’s Proper Officer and, as such, will carry out all the functions and serve all notifications required by law. In addition the Clerk will advise on, provide information for and assist in the formation of any policies to be followed in respect of the Parish Council’s activities. The Clerk will also be the Responsible Financial Officer and thus responsible for the records and administration of all the Council’s finances. Periodic updating of the Parish Council’s website www.gkpc.co.uk will also be required.
Salary Scale: National Joint Council SCP15 – SCP 17 pro rata (open to negotiation)
Hours per month: 20
Place of work: Work from home
Meetings: A minimum of 6 evening meetings per year (bi-monthly) plus an Annual Parish Meeting
Experience: Applicants should be computer literate with knowledge of Word and Excel. Good communication and organizational skills are essential. Specific professional training will be provided if necessary.
